The Testosterone Supplements Review the Manufacturers Don’t Want You to Read

The average testosterone supplements review is really no better than a long-form advertisement. That’s why we decided to provide you with a review that breaks down the myths surrounding these products.

Supplements are on the market that promise to boost your libido and your testosterone. Some of them are billed as a T-booster and aphrodisiac, while others purport to provide the triumvirate of male-enhancing properties: T-boost, libido boosting, in addition to enhancing fertility. Not surprisingly, supplement makers often claim their product has the additional benefit of promoting muscle gain.

The added benefits sound like a great bonus — making these supplements much more marketable. But, when it comes to boosting testosterone, do any of them actually work?

The Testosterone Supplements Review You Need to Read Before You Buy

The Libido Dilemma

Supplements that claim to enhance libido make up the bulk of the market. But most have little to no effect on actual testosterone levels. Why are they so popular? Because buyers believe they work.

When testosterone levels increase, libido increases with it. The inverse, however, does not hold true. Libido can increase without a corresponding increase in testosterone. T-boosters may make you feel more sexual, causing you to believe your T levels are also higher when they aren’t. In rare cases, a 20 percent testosterone boost may occur, but it is biologically irrelevant. If you take these supplements for what they really are, libido boosters, then you’ll probably enjoy the results.

Real testosterone boosters do exist. They’re not going to give you life-changing results because, at best, they’ll only increase your testosterone levels by 20 to 50 percent. Compared to a low-dose steroid, which offers as much as a 300 percent minimum increase, they are not very impressive. What’s more, it’s quite easy for a manufacturer to promise to boost testosterone when very few users will actually check their testosterone levels.

Here is our review of some of the most popular “testosterone boosters” available.

Tribulus Terrestris

Few testosterone supplements reviews will give you the real skinny on this popular product. This number 1 selling T-booster is the best example of a supplement that can increase libido but has zero effect on testosterone levels.

It’s worked well for men who want to boost their libido and their confidence, but the science is not in. The preliminary indications suggest that it can protect your body from stress, but it certainly has no appreciable effect on testosterone.

D-Aspartic Acid

One study showed that D-AA may increase testosterone up to 42 percent. This sparked a buying frenzy.

Unfortunately, no available testosterone supplements review would reveal what a later study did: After a month of D-AA use, testosterone levels normalized.

D-AA has been shown to improve male fertility and testosterone when used by infertile men, but it has no meaningful effect on athletes and those with normal levels of testosterone.

Technically a testosterone booster, Fenugreek provides 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. These prevent testosterone from being broken down into dihydrotestosterone.

It’s been shown to boost testosterone slightly, but not enough to cause any measurable muscle gain. But it mediates libido in other ways and may improve sexual function.

While this testosterone supplements review may come as somewhat of a joy kill, it’s better to know the truth about these products so that you don’t waste your time and money chasing unrealistic results.

In the end, the best way to get major muscle-building results, as well as better libido and the other positive effects you’re looking for, you may well use any of these products. But you need to also maintain an aggressive workout regimen, get plenty of sleep, maintain good nutrition, and stay lean.

Root out any deficiencies, set your goals and identify the supplements that will best serve your fitness needs.
