pectin), 20 grams of carbs, 160 mg of potassium, 10 mg of calcium, 8 mg of
vitamin C, and 70 international units of vitamin A and has 80 calories. Apples
reduce the absorption of fat, lowering blood LDL levels.
Apples also raise
healthy cholesterol known as HDL. More HDL is good. Apples can lower blood
pressure according to a Yale University study. Apples are good for the teeth
and keep blood sugar levels adequate while helping to fight colds. Due to the
high fiber of apples, they make you fuller than the equivalent dose of
carbohydrates from another food. Make

vinegar vegetable cocktail, vinegar tomato cocktail, citrus tea, vinegar fruit
soda, spicy carrot blend, cucumber carrot cocktail and tangy banana pick-me-up.
The first diet is the express diet, which is a three-day
plan for those that do not need to lose much weight. The plan comes with a
recommendations and recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Remember, each day
you are to have a grapefruit with each meal and a special beverage as mentioned
The intermediate diet is the second diet to choose from which
is a ten-day plan. On this plan you will have plenty of fruits, vegetables, and
whole grains in addition to a few more animal products. Food made with refined
sugar, alcohol or anything containing caffeine is needed.
The last diet is the extended diet, which will occur over a
30-day period. There are a few permissions with animal products. There are also
more occurrences in which to utilize butter and cheese. With this diet there
will is an increase of meat. The only thing forbidden on this diet are alcohol,
caffeine and refined sugar. You can count on having fruits and vegetables along
with grapefruit and apple cider vinegar. Remember to eat a grapefruit along
with a specialty beverage with each meal. Meals along with recipes are provided
for each type of diet in the book.
SAMPLE BREAKFAST MEAL FROM DIET PLAN
Breakfast: Sweet-N-Sour Fruit Salad
Ingredients: 1 grapefruit half, 1 orange, 1 apple, 1 teaspoon raisins, 2 teaspoons chopped pecans, 1 cup of low or no-fat yogurt.
Directions: Chop apple and place in serving dish. Then peel and separate grapefruit and orange sections. Cut into finer pieces if desired. Then add apple. Mix with the yogurt and sprinkle raisins and pecans on top.
Suggested Beverage: Cucumber Carrot Cocktail.
Grapefruit and apple cider vinegar is a combo diet that can
help you shed unwanted pounds. It works by suppressing your appetite while
providing needed minerals and vitamins. I’ve heard of grapefruit being touted
in the past as an effective weight loss solution. I haven’t tried it personally
because I don’t eat grapefruit. It just doesn’t taste right to me; however,
after reading all about the benefits it doesn’t sound like it’s going to hurt
you, it in fact, sounds really beneficial.
The apple cider vinegar sounds interesting as well. I’d be
willing to give it all a try if I liked grapefruit. If you’re a lover of
grapefruit this diet may seem really easy to you. The recipes seem easy to
follow and the drinks sound tasty. I definitely, didn’t see anything harmful
suggested in the diet plans. The diet includes plenty of fruits and vegetables,
which are very healthy.
